I am committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ students because diversity of perspective and experience creates better learning environments for all students. That diversity can only be celebrated when students that have historically been marginalized feel safe, respected, and free to be themselves.

I am committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ students because everyone has a right to be who they are and thrive in their environment. My commitment is to making this environment a reality so these students can show the world how courageous they really are.

I am committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ students because as much progress as has been made in recent years, we still need to actively, intentionally work to make all systems and institutions - including our campus - truly equitable and inclusive places where everyone can thrive. I first got involved with LGBTQ activism as a high schooler in the 1990s, and my door is always open for anyone looking to talk about their experiences here at Rutgers-Camden and/or organizing in our community.
Student Works Gallery Curator
Tiana McMillan
I am committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ students because it is impossible to always pull yourself up by the bootstraps and go at it alone. Other people can help us discover and express the more genuine, confident, and loving parts of ourselves. Mentorship and friendship is an essential part of building and strengthening any community.

I am committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ students because I feel everyone has a right to an education and a right to feel comfortable and accepted at their institution. All of our students have a right to be here and be given all the necessary support and love to succeed.

I am committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ students because no one should be abused or assaulted. We know from our Campus Climate Survey that our LGBTQIA+ are experiencing high rates of sexual violence. I believe you, I support you & I know, together we can end interpersonal violence in our campus community.

I am committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ students as a body image researcher who believes that everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin. I am committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ students as a feminist who believes that equal rights for all - regardless of gender or orientation - is an essential part of any democratic institution.
